It’s taken 30 years, but I will finally admit that the special effects in look dated.

Compared to CGI on television today.

They still smoke anything I’ve seen on television from the 90s, and maybe even the 2000s. (The SFX on looked good, but they didn’t really do a lot with them. B5 really pushed their use of their CGI, especially for the era.)

@mrawdon The VFX look of their time but I reckon that is different to dated. It's a slender differentiation I admit.

I really love the aesthetic and wished we as B5 fans celebrated it more.

That austere one bounce radiosity(?) look is probably too hard to do these days. Modern renders of the Babylon station just don't hit as hard.

The planet beneath the station has dated though (the blurry textures I think)
