New Post - Ex-Owner Wants To Walk Our On His Own

Bonnies old owner got in contact last weekend to ask whether we'd be open to him taking her for a walk around town for an hour.

We replied and said that we weren't comfortable with this, which resulted in some fairly grumpy pushback.

In this post, I put my thoughts in order a bit.

I'm curious to hear whether there's anyone who would have allowed it?

@ben NTA for sure. This one hits quite hard for me, as we unexpectedly adopted another cat earlier this year. I don't know exactly what about his previous family caused him to move out and live under a neighbours tree in preference to staying in his old home, but he quite clearly has some trust issues that he's slowly starting to get over. If his old owners (who basically abandoned him) wanted back in his life I would also not consider it to be in his best interests.

@bencc Oooff. Glad to hear he's found a home that he can start to feel comfortable in.
