Hey fellow Canadians, don't let the banks fool you with near-zero interest rates on your accounts! Most actually offer high-interest savings accounts (HISAs) yielding around 4.5%, but they try to hide them so only savvy clients use them. For example, TD lets you buy their 4.55% HISA through WebBroker, packaged to look like a mutual fund (use symbol TDB8150). Similarly BMO Investorline offers BMT104.
