any #cat#cats tips, parker still hates the new kittens, it's been less than a week though. He's already seen them so I'm trying to exchange smells between them and all but he hisses every time he sees them still
@SirTapTap it's still very early so don't worry! Continue exchanging smells, going very slowly, and keeping them separated for now to avoid fights. Then, it's on to creating shared positive experiences, like playing with them while they're in the same room (one person with Parker, one person with the kittens), so they get used to sharing space, without them focusing on each other and creating tension. Has Parker ever lived with other cats?

I've had some good results offering the resident cat(s) a blankie or towel the new kitties have slept on. Also scooping the new kitties' box and putting some of their "leavings" in the box of the resident cat.
@donaldham I've been trying to introduce smells but haven't tried the latter. Huh, he did go STRAIGHT to their litter box for whatever reason when he broke into their room
@SirTapTap If you have a barrier with holes in it that can work - like a child gate for stairs - things like that. So they can see & smell each other, but not touch. But yeah it just takes time.
@TomF There's a window but it's higher up, I leave it open, and a door with glass panes but the first window is a bit high up. I've just been lifting him to give him a look once a day
