I'm a ginger in the deep south and for the past few days when I go outside people treat me like a rare animal seen for the first time in centuries.
"Jesus, should you be outside?"
"Oh, look at you! Can I get you some water?"
"Bless your heart! My brother is as pale as you are! We need to get you inside!"
Honestly I've kind of been loving it because they're right, this heat is murder, but I keep thinking this is the beginning and I need to consider migrating to (for now) a cooler clime.
