@s31bz@revoltchat the main one is revolt.chat - though they want people to use revolt.chat (aka the main one) to grow the service - though it feels the closest to discord. Though you can self host it - but the disadvantage is that when the main instance gets big it'll end up like discord too.
@s31bz I'm not 100% sure how I feel about revolt as an alternative. On one hand it's the closest in general style and feel, but on the other hand they seem to really want folks using the primary service (rather than self hosted) if possible - which is kind of how we got into this spot with Discord in the first place. 😕
That all said, probably still going to set up an instance myself since it really feels like Discord's been circling the drain lately.
