Worrying about how well the game is selling feels premature. It's a PS5-exclusive and a lot of purchases are going to be through the PS Store, not a physical retailer. Besides, at the end of the day Square Enix is going to be the one who decides whether the game sold well or not.
It’s really hard to get back into that game with its archaic controls and messy mesh of unconnected systems, but FFXI and Vana’diel hold a special place in my heart.
I would love to see the world given a revitalization in the XIV engine.
tl;dr They almost made it a direct sequel to the first game.
Akitoshi Kawazu, game designer for the first two games, went on to create the SaGa series and further refined the leveling system as part of that series.
Me too. Except if it was on only one console whoever owned it would jack up the costs on literally everything since they would have a monopoly on the console market.
I don’t know if I would call it “obscure” but the spin-off Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest for the SNES was a fun little game and got my little sister into the mainline franchise.
I’ll be completely honest with you - after I got through the initial intro and was moved to the main page with all the usual gacha ‘GET THESE CHARACTERS/QEAPONS/ETC’ I closed the game and haven’t opened it since.
I’m not a big gacha game fan.
I enjoyed it up until I realized what it was though.
Bother, it'll be months before I finish Persona 5 Royal before I can pick this one up and start it. And I haven't finished FFXV yet. But looking amazing...
it's a bummer but I won't be able to play it until late in the evening tomorrow. My eyes will be dilated at a medical appointment and it lasts about 8 hours.
It's going to be a hard wait, especially after how good that demo was.
