desiree, So... kinda fishing for general anecdotes, thoughts, and advice from the #otherkin, #therian, and #furry communities (though anyone else is of course free to chime in with thoughts and opinions).
I really only came into identifying as a furry roughly seven or eight months ago, and designing my 'sona was a lot of time and effort spent on introspection and expressing myself in a way that felt right and natural to me.
More recently, over the past three or so months, I've been having occassional feelings of proprioception ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proprioception ) associated with non-existent parts of my body that would correspond to my 'sona: mouse-like ears, muzzle with whiskers, a tail, etc. My partners have been supportive of exploring this, which has been really, really affirming... and also leaving me a fair bit confused about identity and label issues.
I am not typically a spiritual person, but even so, I'm open to all perspectives on this. Thanks for reading, boosts always appreciated.
