It’s frustratingly slow and easy to get cynical but really this is just the process - which is like this generally for good reasons so we don’t jail (or worse) people who don’t deserve it. But this system’s critical weakness is that it can be gamed and delayed by folks with near infinite wealth. The bell will sound at some point, though, hopefully!
