My fear is that someone will want to come up with a new twist and we end up with another Planet of the Apes remake. Sure, the effects were better, but the execution fell flat.
I'd much rather Logan's Run be left alone in all its low budget glory.

Totally agree... I wouldn't want a remake to be effects driven but I'd like the story to be told a bit more realistically.
Michael York was quite good and Jenny Agutter was good as well but they were both trapped in a period of time where movies were too soft and full of bubblegum...

Blakes 7 didn't make it over where I grew up in the States. Looks awesome though.
Funny how things work out. Logan's Run was released in 1976 with props and effects that would earn a side eye from the BBC special effects crew in charge of Doctor Who. Star Wars came out one year later using a literal sound board to fire the most powerful weapon in the galaxy.
