@paulc@mattotcha My grandfather was so far gone he couldn’t recognize his own wife, & sometimes his own hand… One day, when she was visiting the facility and was crying, he spoke to her: Him:“Why are you crying?”
Her: Because you don’t even know who I am.
Him: “I know you. You are my wife, Kate, and I have always loved you.” He died the next day. I’ve heard so many similar stories of sudden clarity, and then demise.
