People don't want screens around their house because most of them are used to get attention from us for showing us advertisements.
The trust between users and the UX is broken because they cannot expect good intentions from a glowing object that's essentially living rent free in their apartment and also their head.
What we need are less predatory and more honest and transparent technology that rebuilds our trust.
