Haha. Yeah, terrible copyediting here.

Disney’s California Adventure has better weather and close abortions. I’m going there.

Eh, never hurts to have something here. I'm still skeptical though. What ever happened to Grand Texas? They actually sorta started with the water park and some other stuff, and fizzled-out. Kinda frustrating that news media never called them out on lying to everyone in Houston.

Yeah, I am pretty ready for this summer to be over already. If you're not in the shade, I think you're bound for heat stroke pretty quick. Even with this heat, it's still relative. I had to go down to Laredo last weekend, and it was even more stifling if you can somehow believe it. Not sure if you've ever been down there, but the grass doesn't grow. It's all weeds and dirt in most peoples' yards.

williamallenbro,

That sounds terrible.

ChatGPT, in Drinking water question

I bought a reverse osmosis system removes the chlorine taste which I can’t stand.

williamallenbro,

I’ve seen a few other people mention this. Perhaps that’s something to look into. I want to get a softener for sure.

I technically drink tap water, but it is filtered through my fridge. About 5 years ago, I would regularly drink it though. I know of no one else who does it though. Everyone is paranoid about it. Not exactly sure why.

I can understand if your house has old lead pipes or something, but otherwise, why not?

I only go outside if I need to. My kids can entertain themselves inside for a while.

Thanks for setting this up! Time to post links to here on r/Houston.

I don't think that sub's mods would like it too much.

williamallenbro, in Houston will soon need a new area code to accommodate population growth

I still use an out of state area code. How important are area codes for most people at this point in time?

staticlifetime,

For me, they do still provide a bit of a base. I'm far less likely to answer an unsolicited foreign area code these days just because of all the spam calls.

dh, in Houston's single-family home rentals up 17.4% in May

Rent climbing with the temperature. Maybe it's time to move

staticlifetime,

Good luck, it's like that everywhere right now. The issue is that the property values nationwide have increased, so because of that, property owners will up the rent to compensate for tax liability. Others just know that the market commands that price for their property.

My family visited the Blind Goat a few months ago and it was delightful! Christine was there and so nice. She stopped by our table and took pictures with us and the food was fantastic. I look forward to her new restaurant!
