@brokenix dropbear has one advantage, it is small and can easily be compiled static.
NixOS is usually not the most concerned with space, especially in the magnitude of 3 MB.

@brokenix If you are concerned about such things, you should prefer OpenSSH even more because it is way more tested and fuzzed than dropbear.

Dropbear describes itself on its website that it is very useful for embedded systems where 3 MB are really not to be thrown out.
