Ah, you made it to the show! My orchid-hunting partner called in sick yesterday and I had a grandkid who wanted to hang out for the entire day so I'm letting the FOMO go. Another year, I'll go see the loveliness. Send photos, please!
No tips for mounting orchids on wood although I'll seen it done.

@EllenInEdmonton welcome! they're just phone pictures and pretty random at that because I was thinking of the stuff I wanted to do with my own plants.

I took SO many pictures when I did visit the Orchid Show but it's been a while. I currently have only 2 totally dead orchids in my collection and I'll probably wait a few months before I attempt another. It's one of those plants that I grow really well until I don't. Not much clue what has made the difference. Still, they bloom for a REALLY long time. in most cases.

@EllenInEdmonton I have two about-to-bloom in my cabinet right now. the move to this place and subsequent depression didn't do my plants any favours.
