If you mess up your RetroOZ settings, you can restore them to defaults

The most thorough way to do do this is to switch between the two button layouts in the software.

Go to Firmware Options -> Device and select the layout you're not currently using, e.g. RGB10 MAX 2 Top Start/Select. Then go back and select the layout you were originally using; in this instance, it would be RGB10 MAX 2 Native Start/Select.

This will reset everything but you'll keep your game saves.
