God, I hate it when I see a marble bust as a profile pic and I have to play "Classics enthusiast or fascist cretin?" The Roman fasces stand for republicanism and the power of the people, not for fascist debasement of once-noble symbols!

I wish they used that cretin instead. Like the great (if fictional) Lt. Aldo Raine, I prefer to be able to identify fascists at a glance.

Many Rome nerds fall into one of two categories: fascists who think rome was glorious and antifascists who think rome was a raging clusterfuck but entertainingly so.
