Thoughts on the 1st SH movie?
I personally loved it and never understood some of the hate it received. Sure, the girls' acting was sometimes questionable, and the story was altered quite a bit, but I think us fans need to remember that it's a movie that needed to profit, and in order to do that it has to appeal to a broader audience beyond Silent Hill fans.
In my opinion, Ganz did an amazing job capturing the atmosphere of Silent Hill. The way he brought it to life made it feel like its own character. I also appreciated his decision to use Yamaoka's music from the games in the movie, it added so much to the overall experience. I think its a solid movie, that while not underappreciated, still deserves more appreciation and credit than it usually gets. Especially when compared to the steaming pile of shit that was 'Revelations,' That mess made me appreciate the Silent Hill 1 movie even more. What are your thoughts?
