My goal when traveling is always to visit the city's library and buy something from an indie bookstore. Which so far has added a new level of delight to my trips 😊

@pluralistic I must say that I am seriously jealous. I've never seen such a magnificent library in the States before. Wow!

And a thought just hit me. In Canada you have this... in the US you have idiots banning books. Says a lot.

@karatekid FWIW, the Library of Congress is pretty amazing, as is the NYPL main branch. Modern US libraries like Seattle main are also amazeballs. And Canada's got a LOT of book-banning yahoos (and no First Amendment).
