Cobequid Bay is an inlet of the Bay of Fundy, home of the world's highest tides

The Minas Basin forms the eastern part of the Bay of Fundy. Because of the amount of silt constantly churned by the power of the tides, the water here is muddy, or reddish brown and opaque.
