@eugenialoli I’ve learned it's a deep preference AND accessibility thing.
I don't use a dark style by default, but do use it if I’m getting a headache, feel like my eyes are strained, or am in a darker room as the lower light emission helps me quite a bit. Other folks say light styles are crazy, etc. I think people just have different needs based on their hardware, body, and preferences.
So to me, the most important thing is to ensure software respects said preferences as much as possible.
