I had today an absolute blast at speaking with someone that I followed for quite some time here on :mastodon:
We talked for 2 hours 🤯 (but truth be told, maybe it's me becoz well that's the usual with many people I meet: I am a sucker for deep conversation 😁).
He gave me some beautiful links which are so on point with what I'm doing right now! And that sparked a desire to talk again on the subject of the art of giving #feedback.
Have u ever felt foggy, not knowing what 2 do, what were your resources, what u needed 2 do next, what was important 2 u?
If u don't have a problem with any of that, that would be hard 2 understand. If u have had some issues with that, u might be able 2 understand that my role is to help you clarify things (I won't go here on how I do it) so that your actions (what you do, your projects, the places you choose, the people you meet,...) feels right and aligned with who u are.
What is it?
What purpose?
How important it is to seek the right feedback from the right person?
What specific feedback are there?
Are there negative feedback, positive feedback and useful feedback? (so yep but how do you determine which one is which?)
This can be so important to explain what I do (the feedback I give can have some intuitive) and there is so much to clarify so that the people I help can reclaim their own self...
