I was privy to an interesting convo today on different people’s complex feelings around the term vs . I know people who passionately prefer one, both, or an alternative non-medical umbrella term to describe their unique neurotype when not using specific language from medical books or the DSM-5.

Please note, I am not using these as synonyms for ADHD/ASD—I am tagging groups I belong to & enjoy engaging with. @actuallyautistic @Adhdinos

I use neurospicy with my fellow neurospicy friends mostly.

@Yana_yz @actuallyautistic @Adhdinos I’ve always interpreted it as a term for neurodivergent people that is used with and by neurodivergent people. While I’m less likely to say Neurospicy, I respect it’s use and love language as it changes. Do you find that it is used more with close circles or with fellow Neurospicy individuals? As always, no pressure to answer.
