Sonofabitch… I have a dual-sided Stages R8000 crankset on my S5 and a non-Stages R8000 crankset that I originally built the bike with. Guess what I’m going to have to do when I get home from work today!
I wonder what this means for all new unpurchased versions sitting on shelves or bikes. are they going to be inspected by default or are they being recalled
Shimano has been making hollow crank arms this way for years. It works well if it’s done right. All carbon frames and components are simply glued together, too.
