I'm coming to terms with my alcohol intolerance.
I'm almost 26, but didn't really drink that frequently until 2020. There were signs that something was wrong with how I absorbed alcohol, but I normally just chalked it up to having a pretty low tolerance. I also grew up watching anime, and just kind of assumed you were supposed to get red when you drink.
A little while in, my favorite beer started giving me a rash and making me feel really sick. It was a really nice bock, too. I started thinking maybe it was the type of beer, so I started trying different drinks. Just last year, I came to the conclusion it was everything.
I had mostly cut all alcohol out of my diet by around January, but this 4th of July, I decided to buy a single Bud Light tall boy so I could drink something and still limit my consumption to the equivalent of two beers. I drank a lot of water and some Liquid IV before I went to bed. It was still a mistake. I woke up with what's probably a hangover and a lot of stomach problems.
It sucks because I actually do love the taste of beer. I guess I can't really drink it anymore, though. I shouldn't be sad about it, but I kind of am.
