I'm really glad YNB is still bringing this up. I still can't believe one of the best episodes in TV history can't be seen on streaming platforms cause they don't understand what they're doing.
I always thought it was ironic that the kneejerk reaction to an episode about bullying and accepting people was to pull it for discrimination. Yo-ho Yo-ho a pirate's life for me.
this was, i think, the episode that really cemented how far gone Pierce was. And how much of a villain he was/would be. And it's crazy you have to go searching for it.
Agreed, most of the other "Pierce is bad" episodes just show his self-centeredness, this episode highlights his cruelty and how he's just not a good fit for the group.

i really do think it's shocking, just how far he falls. it really is just pointless malicious cruelty, and i feel like I saw something that said a lot of that stuff is based on real things Chevy said. Making it even more poignant. and telling.
