Checking in for my next video. You still can't upload old posts when you move instances in Friendica,yes? Firefish and possibly the rest of misskey is the only one i know that can do this.

@utzer So there is no way for an average person who doesn't run their own instance to download all of their data, move to another server and upload all their old posts correct? In theory this mechanism could be created in the future but it doesn't exist right now?

I guess for the import could be an App or the same service for all of these services (Mastodon, Friendica and others), the data format would have to be analyzed and then posts would have to be generated. The data import in a direct way would probably be more efficient, but not sure if that is needed.
The exports may not include all data, see also Friendica above.
