He’s no engineer. He’s famous for being one of the less technically minded drivers. It was big news when he did simulator sessions with Mercedes for a change. Renault/Alpine showed changes are going on behind the scenes to Ricciardo and Alonso as well but those turned out to be overly optimistic projections. Ferrari making progress was clearly visible even for us outsiders last year.
