What's the largest number of people with identical names you've ever come across in one household?

I've just found a census record in which Margaret Rankin is living with her husband, her sister-in-law Margaret Rankin and several children, including another Margaret Rankin. It must've been a confusing household!

@thomas thanks Thomas, you inspired me to finish some thoughts I had a while ago, about names, and publish them on my blog.

@thomas My favourite is from the 1841 Census. A household of 3: Hannah Griffiths (75yrs), her daughter Hannah Griffiths (35yrs), and her granddaughter Hannah Griffiths (14yrs).

@GenealCymru It must be really unusual to find three generations of identically-named women! Was the youngest Hannah illegitimate, or did the middle Hannah marry someone with the same surname?

@thomas Hehe not really. My ancestors were really traditional with their naming, so every generation repeats pretty faithfully. The youngest Hannah was the daughter of John, son of the eldest Hannah. He disappears in the records for some reason and I haven't been able to trace him.

I like this question.

Wish I could answer it.

What I will say is I have a popular name.
