#meshtastic in short: #LoRa based mesh #messaging - think: SMS, just without any mobile operator. Independent, autonomous.
When we started looking at his in summer 2023 in #Denmark, the network was still fairly empty, but thanks to a number of very active people, it is picking up momentum.
There is a #Meshtastic Denmark group on (unfortunately) Facebook -
(hope autonomy thinking soon also begins to impact our platform choices).
@sebastian Nice to see some more LoRa activity in Denmark now, but why meshtastic compared to e.g. RNote/Reticulum (my preferred LoRa network protocol)? Meshtastic seemed very limited, and the protocol could be optimized a lot when I looked at it last time (it is easy to flood and block). With my Rnodes I can get a remote shell on my server via the connection if I want. I can easily bridge it with wifi, gsm, VHF/UHF, Bluetooth, etc. https://unsigned.io/
