Equating toxicity to burnout is misguided at best, but what's more concerning is the fact that, earlier on in the talk, Nichiporchik spoke about removing problematic players from the company to increase productivity.
So:
burn out your workers because of your inability to identify structural issues in your company
spy on your workers to identify those who are struggling the most
It’s not sexism or racism, it’s just that the computer models for building a lifelike automaton to replace powerful people is exponentially harder with each gender and skin tone you add to the master mold.
Not to support Elon, I think he’s a tool, but I have run across certain individuals who say Cis with a sneer and use it in a derogatory way. I doubt X and Elon have any motivation other than hate and devision. I do however see Cis being used as a slur by other haters.
I have a feeling that the people that think “cis” is a slur just don’t understand what it means, or are outright transphobic.
I recently had a guy admit he might be transphobic because he “prefers actual women”, and later uttered the sentence “maybe women don’t like to be called ‘cis women’?” and like, dude, it’s just an adjective that means the opposite of trans. But how dare we imply that trans women are women?!
In the end, treating cis / cisgender as a slur is yet another way to attack trans people.
This video started as a a review of a kitschy hotel that ended with a slow burn review of the enshittification of Disney parks. This essay puts clearly what my Disney freak friends have been mumbling about after paying for the trip.
The worst part is that she name drops 2 other parks that are fractions of the price and equal to the experience. Imagine paying over a thousand dollars per person per night and only getting a broken iPhone app to play in regular Disneyworld? Disney is broken now.
I’m about 20% of the way in, but I really like her approach.
It reminds me a bit of the excellent defunctland video on the history of the fast pass system. If you haven’t seen it and you like this video, check it out.
