My son got free school meals last year, and we’re happily doing it again this year here in California. Yes, we could afford to buy him a packed lunch, but if we’re paying our taxes for this then why not make the most of it?
I don’t care if a portion of my taxes goes to also making some other children not starve… That’s exactly the kind of thing we should all want to spend our money on.
