@sibrosan@Sherifazuhur@israel@palestine you are right... but in your case - the true is that it's fake.
There wasn't any conf. like the article mentioned.
Check your sources. Better.
@StandWithIsrael@Sherifazuhur@israel@palestine The rally is real and it's not the only one (if anything, Al-Jazeera is missing past attempts at blocking this aid by way more sympathetic and dovish people than the settlers, i.e. the families of the hostages, who are annoyed there's nothing but Hamas's word that any aid reaches the hostages).
@Sherifazuhur I remember having seen pro-IDF Israeli accounts cover the attempted blockade by the hostages' families, but now I can't find this on Nitter (I'm not signed into Twitter on laptop and I don't have Hebrew on my mobile, so searching Hebrew Twitter is hard). But I did find a bunch of non-right-wingers call for stopping the flour deliveries, like Itai Leshem (who's anti-Bibi) and Yaron Avraham (who's an N12 reporter).
@Sherifazuhur In general, the idea of Israel providing care to Gazans is incredibly unpopular in Israel, especially if it's visible care (Avraham complains that the 150 daily flour trucks come direct from Israel, among other things); it leads Israelis to a) complain that Hamas steals the aid (which it does) and then b) do nothing to secure the aid from Hamas and from criminals in Gaza City to show that there is an alternative to Hamas.
The protests against the aid trucks are real and they appear to be mostly driven by hostages' and soldiers' family members.
Their pain and frustration is very understandable. Hamas and Islamic Jihad started the war, having spent hundreds of millions of dollars on their tunnels and weapons instead of on the population.
Meanwhile, UNWRA, WHO, Red Cross, MSF, and every other NGO and aid group have done nothing for the hostages.
@bdsint@StandWithIsrael@Sherifazuhur@israel@palestine The frustration is real, but the idea that after months in which a terrorist group of 30,000 has stolen aid for 2.2 million people it's possible to starve out the terrorists is daft. They have supplies until the messiah comes; send the fucking flour trucks, and guard them as the flour is distributed in Gaza City so that the 250,000 civilians who live in IDF-controlled Gaza have food, kus emek.
