From the creator of the wonderful Secret Life of Machines of the 1970’s. This is a really fun and relaxing series that goes in-depth in a very approachable and non-rigid way of various componants and tools that would likely come in handy for a maker.
I’m making a Halloween costume that features my head inside a box. All good if In use my hands to support said box, but I’d like my hands to be free....
It looks enormous! I can’t even begin to tell you the sheer breadth of disciplines you’ll see there. Leatherworking, welding, chainsaw wood milling, blacksmithing, sewing, glassblowing, jewelrymaking, silversmithing, resin-building, timber-framing, knifemaking, machining, woodworking, plasma cutting…...
I've done lots of block quilts but never pieced one together like this. It's going to have a moon and stars as well, possibly some clouds if I feel ambitious
If there's one thing makers have, it's a lot of stuff. Both tools to create things, and created thing themselves! I'm really curious what storage solutions everyone has used. We're thinking about a furniture/house rearranging and I'm going to need to commit to a system soon....
Like I said yesterday, trying to get some content on here while we wait on more creators to join. But if you haven't found his channel yet, basically everything Under Dunn does is gold.
Stumbled upon this on YouTube and thought it might fit here, but happy to hear the community's thoughts on if bushcraft fits into Making. Obviously I believe in a wide tent, and what is bushcraft if not outdoor Making with basic tools?
Full disclosure: I'm literally just stealing content from Reddit so there's some stuff to browse here while the user base builds up. I didn't create this, but luckily there's a Thingiverse link so you don't have to give them traffic if you don't want to or you're like me and can't after June (mobile user)....
This one is in a cabinet now waiting for me to find a place with more space to set it up in. Probably not economical to buy an MP Select just for this but since I had a busted one this build cost next to nothing and provided hours of entertainment.
