First of all, these are not really "oxfords," they're derbies. That may just sound like semantics, but... They're not really hitting "dress shoe," they're a bit of a cross between casual dress shoe, boat shoe, and sneaker. So, if I had to wear these for comfort purposes... I'd treat them fairly casually. Mid-wash jeans, a flannel or a good sweater. Olive chinos or fatigues. Something like that.

yeah, a lot of companies will call every "dress shoe" an oxford, which is wrong, but this is not really even a dress shoe.

Yeah its more of a casual leather shoe. Don’t know why its advertised as dress shoe, but it fits what I wanted for a casual feel good footwear :-).

In theory I would say, that the form of the toe box is such an integral part of shoe design, that I would say all of them are their own thing. Even tough they are pretty cool.
