But XFCE for example is nowhere to be close - so a shared development effort to provide some base libraries could have made a lot of sense right? Also the point that wayland is currently very linux only is a problem imho... I myself had problems with screensharing and recording. I also used redshift before but i just use the KDE standard night mode...
