Heute morgen in meiner Gemeinde. Das Bild zeigt den Ortseingang von Kirkel-Limbach. In östlicher Richtung (im Bild nach links) fließt die Blies. Ich wohne seit fast 10 Jahren hier, so hoch stand die Blies noch nie 😧

Mastodon becoming a US entity with a neoliberal board of directors and the goal of growth über alles is the issue here folks, not whether Eugen and company are compensated for their work. Of course they should be and well too. Or is that a privilege reserved only for the mediocre yes-people at the Googles and the Facebooks of the world?

You seem to have more information than the rest of us? What did the EU exactly do? Because Eugen was lying when he said that the German Tax office retracted the non-profit benefits "without giving a reason". They can't and won't do that! If he says otherwise he either didn't understand and challenge the reason given or he is lying - period.

Someone please tell me screen reader support isn’t broken on the major Linux distributions like Fedora and Ubuntu that ship Wayland as default.

(I can’t get the modifier key for Orca to work under the latest Fedora Silverblue and, according to the linked issue, it’s because… it just doesn’t work under Wayland? That can’t be right, right? It would mean the major Linux distributions are inaccessible.)

Some people are mentioning this for ages but waylanddevs think it's not their problem...
They passed it down the stack apparently...
Let alone the fact that lots of automation tools rely on the same mechanism as accessibility tools I think some things have been "oversimplified" or "intentionally underengineered"

So i finally switched to on with 545.29.06 and it is the first time it worked for me... i have some issues like vivaldi flickering like hell randomly.

Since i run in vivaldi (because reasons) I am giving as desktop client a try.
While it has some nice features i would like something more like the deck-layout with multiple columns, be able to search who you want to mention while writing and having a way to create threads. Any for that?

are not reassuring that 10 years of was really worth the wait. Yes it is way snappier - but at what costs?
Like why is it ok that restarting when it gets stuck for whatever reason takes down all apps with it?
Why is recoding in such a shitty place?
Some Games I tried feel realy strange but i cant tell why.
On the other side - resume from suspend finally works :D...

I agree that it is incredibly ranty probably just collecting everything that annoys him but there are a few valid points.

But XFCE for example is nowhere to be close - so a shared development effort to provide some base libraries could have made a lot of sense right?

Also the point that wayland is currently very linux only is a problem imho...

I myself had problems with screensharing and recording.
I also used redshift before but i just use the KDE standard night mode...

Übrigens: Mit der Einführung der Werbung in Prime Video wurde auch die Bild- und Tonqualität deutlich reduziert und die Watchparty gestrichen - natürlich ohne jede Ankündigung. Danke für nix - wozu bezahle ich die 89 € nochmal?

Seit eben läuft auf dem Gaming Desktop KDE 6 und damit funktioniert ohne irgendwas zu basteln HDR. Einfach so. Als wäre es schon immer so gewesen.

Uhh - beim Ali meinens Vertrauens gibt es jetzt auch Zigbee Presence Sensoren mit 230V für an die Decke. Da musste ich gleich mal zuschlagen fürs Badezimmer.

Gostei muito de sua série sobre o Obsidian. O que mudou completamente minha maneira de coletar informações rapidamente e, pelo menos parcialmente, combater a "too many open tabs syndrome" foi a extensão "Copy as Markdown". Vc ja usou - ou tem alternativas?
