Was walking through the woods today and saw these mushrooms growing on a fallen tree. I thought they looked very pretty.
Never tried to ID a mushroom outside a grocery store before, but it looks like turkey tail.

I did a little reading on the difference. It seems I’ll have to start looking at the undersides of mushrooms in the future. That seemed to be the easiest way to differentiate.
It’s still pretty!
Mojojojo1993, It’s incredibly difficult to Id mushrooms. So many have fakes or falses. I think turkey tail and chicken of the wood are the biggest contenders.
Probably because they are the most common to find
