SJHoodlet, 4 months ago Went for a walk this afternoon, and strolled by this quaint stream. Look at the way the water flows underneath that thin layer of ice! Bonus: turn the sound on for the calming ambiance of rushing water. #Winter #Stream #Ice #Nature #SoCold A small stream flows rapidly underneath a thin layer of ice. The snowy banks are dappled with twigs and branches, and the ice is formed atop a small (about 1.5 feet) mound of rocks (which you cannot distinguish in the video). We received a lot of rain in New England before the recent cold snap. That, combined with the snow melt, has led to a lot of swollen streams.
