Wow that looks awesome! We've lived here about ten years and never been to Kapiti Island as we're not bird fans and find it quite expensive. Would be cool to do a kayak tour though! Were these your own kayaks?
Yes, we all had our own boats. I'm going sure if a commercial operator will take you over there, it's not an easy trip, and everything needs to be planned just right in regards to tides.
