@perchance Just saw a typo in the sentence generator! Also, if the generator has somehow been updated with new sentences or so, please let me know so I can add them into my generator.

I’ve taken a look at it and made this one for the //vocab generator files:
perchance.org/x93yy70u2i

There is still one I haven’t parsed in which it has a conditional (I think) where the vocab is Alchemical,1:magic,spiritualt in which there is a category above which might be used to toggle which are available to be generated.

The //seed or SEED generators seems to be following an ‘object’ property method, in which <*LIST> seems to initialize / select one from the list, then the proceeding are property access to it. For example:

<span style="color:#323232;">// actionfilmdat.txt
</span><span style="color:#323232;">...
</span><span style="color:#323232;">ROUTECAST
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> <*GETPERSON><GENPERSONREF> <GENPERSON> <ROUTESINGLEGOAL>
</span><span style="color:#323232;">...
</span><span style="color:#323232;">GETPERSON
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> <*>
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> GENPERSON,true
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> acrobat
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> GENPERSONPL,true
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> acrobats
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> GENPERSONREF,true
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> an
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> <*>
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> GENPERSON,true
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> actor
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> GENPERSONPL,true
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> actors
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> GENPERSONREF,true
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> an
</span><span style="color:#323232;">...
</span>

It can be converted to

<span style="color:#323232;">routecast
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> [x = getperson.selectOne, x.getpersonref] [x.getperson] [routesinglegoal]
</span><span style="color:#323232;">
</span><span style="color:#323232;">getperson
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> *
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> getperson = acrobat
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> getpersonnpl = acrobats
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> getpersonref = an
</span>

Other might just be references in which we can convert < to [.

Those with the conf on the file name e.g. advnameconfdat.txt seems to be imports(?) or for a dropdown(?) to select which generator is used.

perchance, in [incessant whining] comment tag color choosing

Hmm, yeah this has been asked for before, and the reason I haven’t done it yet is because it would make it easier for people to impersonate others. I.e. set their nickname to the same, and set their color to the same, and then rely on people not noticing that the letters are different. This might not trick many people, but it would make it more annoying since there’s a lower chance of at-a-glance check being correct.

Ideally I’d replace the letters with a dingbat font or something so there’s more visual distinction between the tags. Also now that usernames are a thing, this potentially makes the impersonation issue less relevant. I’m still a bit indecisive on this one though…

I’ve also had a similar kind of idea by having an auto-generated nickname based on the user’s tag in my advanced comments plugin demo. For example: B134 becomes BtereHariman34 (though the tag-to-nickname system is still in underlying development, and I might change the names on the database so it looks less like nonsense to read on)

Here’s a simple example: perchance.org/drop-down-list-example#edit

(For future reference, there are actually a lot of example generators built and so if you type “drop down selector to choose list perchance” into google, the above link is the first result :) Also, if you wouldn’t mind, please edit your post’s title to be a summary of your question - that way it’s more easily findable via Google, which helps others who happen to type their question in a similar way that you summarized it, and so reduces the need for people on this forum to answer lots of duplicate questions. Thanks!)

Also, as a bonus: Here’s an example where multiple drop-downs are used to select a list + sub-list/item: perchance.org/multiple-drop-down-lists-example#ed…

Dude001,

Thanks!

perchance,

No problem! Btw, it looks like you edited your post’s content instead of the post’s title. Your post’s content was already fine :)

There is a reason! But it’s a silly one, so discovering it wouldn’t be very satisfying ^^’

perchance, (edited ) in [Bug (Fixed)] Embedded Perchance Pages on Perchance aren't updated

Thank you! Should be fixed now. Sorry about that - accidentally introduced that bug when fixing the null subdomain query params issue that you reported. I was adding “?” to end of the redirect URL even when there weren’t any query params, which messed with the Cloudflare cache clearing code.

Don’t know where we’d be without all your excellent bug reports 🙏

Also the current user’s username and other data, i.e. com.user.name would output bluepower81 and com.user.nickName would output Polygonal and so on.
