Put the people on a curve in the track, speed up the train so one side lifts off the rails about 10" while it speeds around the curve, thus only chopping 2/5 of the peoples bodies off. A 3/5th compromise.

I’ll be off in the woods to the side of the image cursing my fellow man and acting like I’m somehow better while I attempt to start a fire with two sticks. Perhaps rubbing two nickels together would be better.
