This coming from the same police bureau where the union head leaked a false report that a city council member who had gone toe-to-toe with them was involved in a hit-and-run crash. I'm shocked! Shocked, I tell you! And then when said police officer was fired, arbitrators reinstated him. If that level of abuse of power get excused, I don't know what to tell you.
And it did have a lasting effect. When the city council member came up for reelection, I was talking with a friend about that position. She didn't known that the report was false.
Hopefully this fails and the STAR Voting campaign succeeds. Very frustrating that the legislature shoved this onto the ballot without vetting it, while STAR has to spend enormous amounts of time and money to go through the normal ballot initiative process.
I think this is my favorite part. I don't think I've ever seen a fuel pump that accepts coins.
This bill approved Wednesday would also eliminate from state law language referring to coin-operated fuel pumps, perhaps in recognition of the fact that a $1 coin, the largest denomination in general circulation, would today buy two-tenths of a gallon of gas, and it would take more than 50 of them to fill an average tank.
Is MoveIt the company with the big building-side banner downtown?
Regardless, if companies are going to leave vulnerabilities like this in their software, then there is no reason to seek out a vendor when things are needed. Just hire a damn intern to whip up some half-functioning bullshit and save a ton of money.
I live near 205… I'm okay with harsher penalties. Hopefully this also applies to racing on the interstate though it seems to be more in the neighborhoods.
Yeah people use my small quiet residential street as a drag strip at least daily. I’m only glad that there aren’t more kids in this neighborhood, a year ago there would’ve been elementary schoolers playing in the street and it’s just a recipe for tragedy.
