I thought I was going to be getting something of a guilty pleasure. At worst, something that might be so bad it's good, but nope! It was just plain bad.
I know the game has its fans but I did not enjoy the level design. I have never liked the ''walled off areas'' ''kill all the enemies'' level design.
I'd still like to try the Wii version at some point.

It's an acquired taste for sure. And you need to be able to handle a lot of jank, but I do have quite a bit of fun with the series.
It really is braindead and nowhere near on the level of the better games in the genre, but it certainly does have its charm in its own way.
