running a lemmy instance has learned me a lot about devops already!...

There's a ton of issues with the UI I want to address and there's a number of things I want to experiment such as how communities are subscribed to, so I started writing a new UI in SvelteKit. I also have Capacitor setup which would allow this to triple as a native iOS and Android application....

Uptrace is an OpenTelemetry APM tool that supports distributed tracing, metrics, and logs. You can use it to monitor applications and set up automatic alerts to receive notifications via email, Slack, Telegram, and more....

I'd like to share the project that I've worked on the past couple of weeks. I've started it after finding about how professional routers (specificaly Unifi) are managed and thinking that there should be a simalar open-source software for home networks....

Digg was my favorite website of all time, what people today can't experience is just how good the community was. I think that was due to the reputation system they used. A sufficiently advanced reputation system would fix a lot of problems with social media, with less censorship....

I put this together at the weekend and it got some interest on the selfhosting subreddit in its final day :)...
