I'd imagine our forward group is set with the addition of Kevin Hayes and the re-emergence of Kapanen and Vrana late last season, as well as the addition of Blais and the shift to full time NHL for Neighbours. I'd imagine that if Army does anything else, it's trade away another defenseman for some depth players and/or a draft pick, and possibly look for a backup goalie since I can't imagine we'd waste Hofer's age 22 season by having him ride the bench in the NHL.
His stats have gotten worse year over year since the cup but he's also had a terrible defense in front of him. Not sure what the move is unless we can trade him and sign Freddy Anderson or something. His antics annoy me though, if you wanna be a hothead, drop the gloves and take some punches.
I see this not ending well. It probably won't blow up in their face or anything like that, but I'm going to bet this sees absolutely minimal fan interaction
Sure, I'm interested! I started the stlouisblues lemmy sub and before I found this, the stlblues one here.
I very much want a fun place for discussion about our favorite team. It needs to be an accepting and safe place for fans of all backgrounds to enjoy and use.
Obviously there can and will be disagreements, but I envision a place where these opposing views can be discussed civilly and with open minds. You can disagree with someone while still being respectful, and you should!
But most importantly, let's just have fun. Ii love having a place to come and see the most recent news regarding the Blues and what people think about it.
@PhilipJFry That sounds really goo! And I would appreciate the help a lot. I'm split between 2 fandoms (that's a story lol) and on reddit only lurked and I would like a friendly accepting place where it's ok I've only been watching hockey a few years, root for 2 teams in the same damn division and don't know shit about hockey but I can be active in anyway.
@PhilipJFry The Avalanche (and due to them being new and the state I live in, the Kraken, mildly. I cant' watch Kraken games because of blackout though).
Basically, a few years back I decided I wanted to start watching hockey as a second sport. The place I lovedbest when I lived there was Colorado so I decided to be an Avs fan. The playoffs started... I was rooting for the Avs. Which meant I ha to root against the Sharks. Then the Sharks won, so I had to root against the Sharks even harder and they played the Blues next. Then I rooted for the Blues and they kept just winning and by the time they won the cup I was hooked LOL
Honestly, outside of Kroenke and Kadri, I don't really dislike Colorado. I love the state (absolutely gorgeous), and MacKinnon is such a freaking beast, you can't help but enjoy watching him.
Kadri left to go play for Calgary last year, so now we just have Kroekne to feel shitty about. But yeah MacKinnon is fantastic to watch. I just wish we weren't going anther full season without Landeskog.
@iNeedScissors67 I've only been watching hockey a few years (since the Blues won the Cup!) so I am not sure who that is. But there's no way it's anywhere near as good as what we're losing.
He's a former Blues player and minor league coach, and he's sometimes a TV analyst on Bally. He's just kind of dry and boring, which is the opposite of Pang.
