June Duo update seems to have fixed the Wi-Fi/VPN reboot bug
My Duo 2 received the June update yesterday, and since I haven't had any more issues with my device restarting randomly while connected to wi-fi. Microsoft has even confirmed the fix in the release notes that were updated today.
Same here. I've not had any issues with my Duo 1 or 2 since the update. I'm still not entirely sure what broke things, but I'm glad they were able to get it fixed properly.
I am in a work travel week.so I like to use VPN on any public Wi-Fi .I switched on Wi-Fi and VPN immediately after the update to check the device has not restarted yet. I call the bug fixed.
I think I saw that Edge was going to start having a built in VPN. I'm not yet sure what that will mean, but for web access that might be a good thing. 🤷
Good to know. I've kept mine on May because I might have had to join a VPN for work. I didn't, but I didn't want to take the risk when just keeping it disabled was a workaround.
