I’m kinda glad I don’t have time at the moment to get obsessed with a new topic (though it’s lurking in my future now) - this is really cool. I used to mess around with RTLSDR stuff, this looks like it’ll scratch the same itch and possibly be more useful. Meshnets seem like a wonderful solarpunk technology and I really look forward to seeing where this’ll go.

I am not so happy that currently all these use the proprietary LoRa system. Some kind of medium range and low-powerd mesh network would be very cool though. There has been some movement in the WiFi HaLow space lately, which is IMHO more promising.

deur,

Theres basically no way this meets regulatory requirements, theyre based on a value which is roughly based on transmitter strength + antenna gain. The comments on hackaday are fun to read.

Churbleyimyam,

Mesh networks are so cool. We should all be doing this.
