Slopecarver,

Jointer and planer go together.

A better table saw.

Used tools let you get more for less.

Empyreus,

Testing

Kurt,

What have you got for dust control/collection?

_danny,

A good, comfortable, dust mask. And wear it when you’re making fine dust (mainly sanding)

A good dust remover would be a nice addition also.

Good idea, thanks!

elboyoloco,

Dust collection… You need dust collection.

For sure. I have a shop vac under the right workbench that is connected to the table saw. Otherwise, I broom everything up. Almost all my other tools have vac attachments, so getting a few more shop vacs isn’t a bad idea. Thanks.

elboyoloco,

In a space this small… And especially with it being under your residence… Keeping dust out of the air and also cleaned up is not only a good idea just for working, but also for safety. Sawdust is extremely flammable. Hate to burn the house down cause you hit a nail in a peice of wood.

coco,

In the basement ?? Depending how big the door still to pass some big tooolings

Between the flights of stairs there is an exterior door thankfully so that helps, but yeah, I need to think through how big I make things so that they don’t get stuck down there.
