I agree with you on all fronts, but I especially appreciate the idea that Ukraine, if it could wield magic against Russia, would do so in extremely petty ways. (I’m a bit of a sucker for fantastical scenarios.)

It’s people sitting at home 3000+km away sipping their caramel macchiato snuggied up on their plush sofa with zero clue that the only way to win a war is to convince your opponents the cost of conceding is less than the net cost of continuing.
